Now in its third year, theUrbanite Arts & Film Festival fosters the next generation of underrepresented filmmakers by featuring work from directors and artists aged 14-24. Through theirart exhibition, we create a platform for a diverse range of young artists to express themselves creatively and launch creative careers. This year's festival will be held at Studio Theater in Exile @ Hudson Valley MOCA in Peekskill,NY on August 9-10, 2024. The opening night reception on Friday, August 9,2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM will feature performances from singer Alexandra Haberman from Chappaqua; Harmony Hopwood, Westchester County Youth Poet Laureate; and spoken word poet/artist Ciara Chantelle. Short film screenings will run on Saturday, August 10 from 12-8 PM.
