Studio Theater in Exile @ Hudson Valley MOCA

‘Writing the Walls’, now 20 years old, began in 2005 when Artistic Director Mara Mills, Studio Theater in Exile, and Livia Straus, co-founder Hudson Valley MOCA, decided to enhance the museum exhibitions by reaching out to the community and inviting poets, playwrights, writers, poets, dancers, and musicians (all genres) to contribute original works reflective of interaction with the art. This partnership has been a creative collaboration that has spurred years of community creativity.
