‘Writing the Walls’, now 20 years old, began in 2005 when Artistic Director Mara Mills, Studio Theater in Exile, and Livia Straus, co-founder Hudson Valley MOCA, decided to integrate visual arts by reaching the community to contribute original works reflective of their interaction with art in the exhibit. This partnership has been a creative collaboration that has spurred and grown with community creativity.

FOR THOSE WHO SUBMITTED
The call for submission is over and now the literary curators are reading through all the poems, plays, and prose. The ultimate goal is to put together well juxtaposed performances and content. We thank you for the wealth of good works to choose from. The deadline for decision was March 30th.
If you submitted and are selected, rehearsals will April 5th , 6th, 26th, 27th from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Rehearsals are fun – and a time to hone reading skills and do final editing of work as well as hearing and meeting other performers Please try to come at least once. If we have to find another time because of your schedule, let Mara Mills know. Zoom is a
possibility.
